Facebook, Instagram, Threads & WhatsApp goes down
Meta's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads, faced problems on Tuesday morning, leaving many users unable to access their accounts.
According to reports around 9:00 AM CT, users encountered various issues. On mobile apps, Facebook displayed a message saying "session expired" and then an error message when users tried to log in again. On web browsers, users got notified of an "incorrect password" even though they entered the correct information.
The cause of the outage is unknown at this time.
Update: Good news! Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads are all working again as of 11:00 AM on March 5th, 2024.
